When you think about the bread maker, the only thing you can cook with it that comes to your mind is bread, although you know you can make a variety of bread specialties. The truth is that the best bread-machines can be used for cooking other foods as well, and in the following lines, we will show you how to cook almost anything with a bread maker.
For the dough of this bread, you will need 3 cups of flour, ¼ cup of sugar, 2 tbs instant yeast, 4 tbs of butter, 1 cup of milk, vanilla extract and salt. Put all the ingredients in the bread maker and program it for dough, while watching its consistency and adding flour if necessary. The dough should form a ball and clean the bucket when it rotates, so when it’s done, you can remove it and cut it in 32 small pieces. Roll each piece in melted butter and cinnamon-sugar and layer them in the pan of the bread maker. Close the lid and allow the dough to rise for about an hour until doubled. Program the machine to start baking for 65 minutes on light crust and when the baking cycle is over, you can remove the pan and flip it over to let the bread come out. You will be able to enjoy it by taking apart the small pieces of dough that have stuck to each other.
Molten chocolate lava cake
For the first layer of the cake, you will need 1 cup of flour, ¾ cup of sugar, 2 tbs baking powder, 6 tbs cocoa, ¾ cup of milk, ¼ cup vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt. For the second layer, you will need 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, 1 teaspoon espresso powder, and 1 1/2 cups hot water or hot brewed coffee. Remove the paddles from the bread maker and spray the interior of the pan with non-stick oil spray and set the machine to bake only for 45 minutes. In a bowl, whisk the dry ingredients for the first layer then add the wet ingredients and pour the batter into the bread maker’s pan. For the second layer, mix the dry ingredients and sprinkle them over the batter in the pan before adding the hot coffee or water without the need to stir in it. Press start and let the bread maker complete its 45 minutes baking cycle, then remove the pan and let the cake cool down for 15 minutes. To serve, scoop servings of the cake from the pan and enjoy the delicious soft layer and the creamy chocolate coming out of it.
